…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………… As the 2023 draws to an end, we decided to do a little retrospect of events and interesting moments of our Club, Scale Model Club Novi Sad – IPMS Serbia. We have travelled a lot, took part in a number of competitions both domestic and abroad, and of course we were successful. It is hard to put in words all the good things that happened to us, therefore the photos that follow this story. Our greatest success this year was our IV Danube 1255 Scale Model Competition, held in March 2023 in Institute for nature conservation of Vojvodina province in Novi Sad. According to the testimonies of many participants and visitors, we set some new standards in scale modelling with pushing the local modelling scene to a higher level. There were some gifts as well. An older lady from Novi Sad, who was thrilled with the exhibited models, especially those of ships, and whose father was an officer on the warships of Royal Yugoslav Navy, presented us with the extraordinary and rare footage of Royal Yugoslav Navy, as well as the complete wooden kit of San Giovanni Batista sail ship in parts that was issued with magazine The Great Sail Ships from DeAgostini. We would like to take the opportunity to express special gratitude to first and foremost our young members Marko Kovač and Vanja Kovač, then to all the modellers for their suppport, Vojvodina Broadcasting Company, Marko Stepanović for excellent videos and photos, Institute for Nature Conservation of Vojvodina province, Serbian Armed Forces – River Flotilla, Russian model company Zvezda, Aeropoxy, Zoran Radoš for representing our Club in SMW Telford, UK, as well as to all the others for being there when necessary and important.
