Sve u svemu odlična maketa koju preporučujem svim maketarima i naravno ljubiteljima ruskog savremenog oklopa.
Zahvaljujemo se Zvezdi na ustupljenoj maketi.
Kamaz 63968 “Typhoon” is another member of the family of Russian multirole armored vehicles from the Typhoon program. The program is initiated in 2010. Companies Kamaz and Gaz took part in the project and built their own prototypes. Kamaz built 63968 “Typhoon” vehicle, a 6×6 armored truck for troop transport. It weighs 21 ton and can transport up to 16 soldiers. There is also an amphibian version with an attached turret with machine gun on the top of the truck. The machine gun is remotely operated. Armor protects from the light infantry weapons and shrapnel. Armor is made from combination of steel and ceramics. The vehicle has hydropneumatic suspension and is designed to use any road or terrain surface. The truck is driven by Kamaz 740.354-450 8-cylinder engine, with 450 HP and six-gear gearbox and shifter “Allison”. There is also a central tire inflation system. There are also five cameras mounted on the outside of the vehicle with a full 360- degree FOV, as well as survival and protection systems in case of nuclear blast.
Another attractive model from Russian company Zvezda. This time it is a model of modern military transport vehicle. There are more than 370 parts of high-quality grey styrene. There is a lot of details available on the model itself. The complete interior is given, troop carrying compartment as well as the driver’s cab. Since the model of the vehicle is mostly closed, the detailing of interior still can be seen if the loading dock remains opened, as well as the lids on the top of the vehicle. Lower part of the vehicle – undercarriage also possesses extreme detail, while the complete engine is not given.
Six tires made of the actual rubber are also of great quality, with an interesting detail – Michelin inscription on them.
There are two paint schemes available on the instruction sheet, with one of them being the one used in Syria. Painting codes are as usual, given in Tamiya and Zvezda. Decals look great as well. This review is enhanced with the quality photos of the model parts, instruction sheet and decals, so everything can be seen clearly. The best impression will be available when I start building the model, which will also be covered on our Facebook page. With all things considered, this is a great model which I sincerely recommend to all modelers and fans of Russian modern armor.
We would like to thank Zvezda for this model sample.
