Su-57 ruski lovac pete generacije.

Su-57 is a Russian fighter jet of the fifth generation. Short history: Russian fighter Su-57 was a further development of PAK-FA project, which is abbreviation for “Perspective aviation complex of frontline aviation”. The internal designation was T-50. First flight was on 29.01.2010. Since then until today (when it is ready for serial production), 10 flying prototypes were constructed. Allegedly the order for 76 jets for Russian air force is pending. It is actually the first Russian jet in stealth technology. The jet had its baptism of fire in Syrian conflict. Technical specs: wingspan 14 m, length 19,7 m, height 4,6 m; weight empty 18 000 kg, max weight at takeoff 35 000 kg; engine 2x Saturn-Ribinsk AL41F1 with vector thrust; top speed 2 Mach, cruise speed 1,3 Mach, max range 3500 km; weaponry 2 internal bunkers with 2 hard points each in stealth configuration, additional 4 hard points when the stealth is not required. It packs a usual arsenal of weapons as older Su jets (Su-27, 30, 33, etc).

Long anticipated model of the Russian fifth generation jet in 1/48 scale, has seen the light of the day and we have the honor to peek inside the box and to present the model to all the fans of the hobby.
In a box of standard quality and sturdiness with an attractive illustration of the jet taking off come the parts for this model. More than 240 parts in a quality grey plastic shows that we are in for a treat. Everything is nicely casted with no flash and the overall look just fine. As for the detailing: panels, rivets, wheels and wheel bays, perhaps Zvezda could go a mile or two extra performing a little bit better on these, but it does not lessen the overall looks of the model. By the way this is the only model of this jet in this scale.
Interesting part is the bomb bay given the option of it being open or closed with all the armament. The instruments are given as decals, while the pilot seat could benefit from the belts added from aftermarket sources. Decals look rather good and come on two sheets with ample of markings and details, and in my opinion they got it all covered.
As for painting and marking there are two options which can be seen the scanned instruction sheets. Paints are given in Zvezda and Tamiya codes.
If taken into account that the actual jet is new and still in testing and a lot of detail is unknown, Zvezda did the right thing in pushing this model to the market. As usually, much more photos and details when the model enters WIP phase. I would like to recommend this model to all fans of Russian modern aircraft as well as to all modelers and those to become ones. We would like to thank Zvezda for providing the model for this review.
